2010 Bridal Image

This is the photo by THE IMAGERY STUDIO
of Lynne, a recent bride who participated
in the photo shoot we did at the Chocksett Inn.
Alice took so many great photos but this one
worked the best. It is being made into
4' x 6' banner for my booth at upcoming wedding shows.

WREATHS AND MORE WREATHS

Permanent botanicals at their best.

This is a fresh balsam wreath with noble fir added, artificial
juniper and decorations. The ribbon is great.

Permanent WREATH with twig orb, cymbidium orchids, calla lilies and
hanging amaranthus. Not the typical Christmas wreath.

Silver and pearl tones and gobs of messy wire. Great!

Christmas house decorating

This is my favorite stairway to decorate. Every year I feel lucky
to have the opportunity to design elaborate roping for this home in
Princeton. Balsam, cedar, pine, seeded eucalyptus, berries and huge pine
cones go into the roping. It is gorgeous!

Mantle pieces for the same home are very large. There are
two mantles about 8 feet long in the dining room and living
room. It takes about 8 hours on and off site to do both mantles and
the stairway.

A gold 9 foot tree in the foyer of another home in
Princeton. Tons of ornaments on this tree!! So far I have
put up 18 trees this week.

Fresh Holiday Wreath Making!!!

Last night I had a great group of very talented wreath makers in
for a night of design. I am always amazed at how each one looks
different. The design room was as full as it can get.
Wonderful job! Thanks Ellen!!!

Window Display

A clean look of just over sized ornaments in red, lime and a
funky shade of gold! I have used ornaments like these in
some commercial decorating jobs- Copley Marriott, Boston.

I love the look! Hope you have the chance to drive by at night.
It looks great!!

Thanksgiving flowers!

Didn't have much time to post anything last week, so here is just
one quick picture of flowers I used for the holiday. It was a
busy holiday and getting busier as we go into the Christmas season.

It's Here! Our biggest season!

Like it or not Christmas has started for us already.
My Christmas season is almost a year round job.
Planning, contracts and designing!
I do many commercial jobs along with personal homes.
Above is a doctors office here in Worcester.

Our most glamorous venue- the Copley Place Marriott,
Boston. Janet and Nick in the basement of the hotel prepping
decorations that will be moved into the hotel
public spaces on Saturday.

Photo shoot for 2010 Wedding promo

Here is a preview (me taking pictures of the photographer taking pictures) of the promo wedding shoot we did
at the Chocksett Inn with photographer Alice of the
IMAGERY studio in Worcester. What a great time!
Two hours went by so fast! The bride, Lynn was not only beautiful
but a great model! We told her- just spin around and throw your
legs over the side of the car- easy for us to say but hard to do when
your hips are wedged between the headrests and the dress
weighs as much as her! She was great. Thanks Lynn!!!

My favorite!

Brides bouquet

Mini calla lilies, cymbidium orchids, double tulips, freesia
and various roses made a beautiful brides bouquet.
Pictures by Sue Bray photography.

New design/classroom complete!

My new design room downstairs is done just in time!
With the busy holiday season about to begin I am finally done
painting. Lots of great counter space and storage! I had the
Junior League of Worcester in last night to make wreaths for
their Winter Festival coming up in December.

Memorial Flowers

I did flowers for a Memorial service at Mt View School
in Holden. I wanted to make the flowers colorful and what
students would like- butterflies, dragonflies and LED lights
in the petals of roses and hydrangea.

My daughter, who attended the school last year helped with the
flowers. She also took the pictures! Nice job-thank you Brenda!

foliage and small viking poms. What a bright piece!

One of my favorite designs-a tall vase with lilies,
hydrangea, apple blossom and curly willow branches!
